thats a good reel, must be a problem with it, or the guy selling it has a brain problem, my guess is the drag has problems or the brake. i wouldn't buy a reel off ebay, no way to tell if there's issues.

It has more drag capability than the heaviest line you're likely to use on it and according to all of the reviews the drag is nice and smooth at all drag settings. The fact that it's a bait casting real it will also have two fully adjustable drag settings.

Those are reels, not rods. I like low-profile reels like the second one.
